Land Acknowledgment
We seek to right the injustice of the erasure of the Indigenous people who originally inhabited these lands by honoring their history and traditions. This land was stewarded by the Arapaho, Apache, Cheyenne, Sioux, and Ute Nations. S.A.C.R.Ed Eco-Center recognizes the enduring relationships between many Indigenous peoples and their traditional homelands. We are grateful for the territory upon which we gather today and respect the original stewards of this land. May we continue to do the work to bring justice, healing, education, and sustainable relationships to be embodied through S.A.C.R.Ed Eco-Center’s mission, vision, and purpose.

"I felt a great amount of gratitude to have the privilege and opportunity to be there and receive medicine that should have never been owned or privatized in the first place. I'm grateful for my physical body and the literacy I've started to reclaim by being a witness to its sensations."

"Great experience and highly informative of Native American culture and customs. I would recommend this adventure to everyone..."
Nature as Medicine
"To decolonize healing is to embrace the notion that healing and learning coexist through relationships with the land along the journey. Within the journey lies a reciprocal, interwoven relationship between learning about self, learning about the community, learning about the more-than-human, and learning about the land. Through acknowledging and understanding our colonial past and taking action to begin decolonizing ourselves, actively engaging in this process will facilitate an open space to promote and integrate Indigenous ways of healing and learning..." ~ Miranda Field
